Instructions for Submitting Comments

  To present your comments at the LSRO RRRVW Open Meeting
  1.  Register for the meeting before April 1, 2005. You will find the registration form and instructions on the Open Meeting registration page.
  2.  Presentations may not exceed 10 minutes in length.
  3.  Presentations must address one or more of the following issues:
  • Is the science required to evaluate the risk of smoking Potential Reduced-Risk products adequate and reliable?
  • How can issues such as potential changes in smoking behavior be integrated into the review process?
  • How much risk reduction is enough?
  • Can the impact of Potential Reduced-Risk product availability on the overall rate of smoking be assessed prior to approval?
Only presentations addressing these specific issues will receive consideration by the LSRO and the Reduced Risk Review Committee.
  4.  To insure appropriate audiovisual support, please inform us in advance if you will require a 35mm, overhead, or LCD projector (Powerpoint for PC only).
  5.  To help us accurately transcribe your comments, please bring a written copy of your remarks to the meeting, or send them to us by one of the methods listed in the table at the bottom of this page.
 


To submit your comments in writing
  1.  Written comments will be accepted up to May 15, 2005.
  2.  Because we may wish to contact you about your comments, please include your telephone and fax numbers, and email address.
  3.  Comments must be no longer than 5 pages in length, single-sided, with 1-inch margins and using 12-pt font.
  4.  Comments must address one or more of the following issues:
  • Is the science required to evaluate the risk of smoking Potential Reduced-Risk products adequate and reliable?
  • How can issues such as potential changes in smoking behavior be integrated into the review process?
  • How much risk reduction is enough?
  • Can the impact of Potential Reduced-Risk product availability on the overall rate of smoking be assessed prior to approval?
