Welcome to the LSRO Reduced Risk Review Website!

The Life Sciences Research Office (LSRO) has undertaken a project (Reduced Risk Review) to evaluate the science base necessary to characterize potential reduced-risk tobacco products.

The overall objective of the Reduced Risk Review is to provide an independent, comprehensive evaluation of the science base necessary to determine whether potential reduced-risk tobacco products are likely to reduce risk, and, if feasible, to develop an evaluative process for the scientific assessment of potential reduced-risk products.

Philip Morris USA is providing the funds necessary to complete this project, but will provide no input into the design or implementation of the study or the final recommendations.
