Are the research results completely independent? LSRO takes great pains to insure our studies are conducted completely independently. Most projects are undertaken under contract in which the terms of independence are clearly specified. Each member of the expert panel is vetted for conflict of interest and bias, appointment to the panel is sole purview of the LSRO and is reviewed by the LSRO Board of Directors. Communication with clients is done solely through the LSRO Project Leader; experts do not communicate with clients. LSRO retains the right to publish all reports regardless of the outcome or findings. Each report carefully delineates the information reviewed, the reasoning and decisions of the expert panels, and all steps taken to insure an independent, unbiased result. Back to FAQs
