To serve our wide range of clients LSRO has a permanent staff and an established network of world-class experts and consultants. Our onsite senior scientists are experts in evaluating biomedical information and scientific opinion for regulators and policymakers, assessing toxicological risk, understanding the interrelationship between human nutrition and food sciences, and calculating the risks between environmental exposure and human health.
Our staff is supplemented by a dedicated team of Experts and Consultants selected from our network as well as from the membership of the twenty-one professional scientific societies in the Federation of American Societies for Experimental Biology (FASEB). FASEB's 85,000 members include some of the most respected and honored professionals in their fields: 135 Nobel Prize winners and 800 current members of the U.S. National Academy of Sciences or the Institute of Medicine.
The LSRO Board of Directors is drawn directly from our Affiliated Societies. These organizations are the American Society for Nutrition, American Physiological Society, Protein Society, American Society for Pharmacological and Experimental Therapeutics, American Society for Investigative Pathology, American Society for Bone and Mineral Research, American College of Nutrition, and the International Society of Regulatory Toxicology and Pharmacology.
